How Do I...

Obtain Telephone Advice?

It is possible to book an 'on the day' telephone call for follow-up advice.

How Do I...
Make An Appointment?

Our Appointments line is 01684 293649

The appointments line is open between 8.30am and 4.30pm.

Our standard length of appointment is 10 minutes.

You can improve the continuity of your care by arranging further appointments about a particular problem with the same doctor each time (wherever possible).

Please make cancellations as far in advance as possible.

You can help us give each of your problems the attention they require by trying to avoid bringing several problems to one 10 minute appointment. Please try to make separate appointments.

If you have a problem that is likely to be particulary time-consuming, please book a double appointment.

We will always offer you an appointment the same day if urgent, but please do not use this system for non-urgent problems; its abuse will cause problems for patients in genuine need. We run a nurse triage system where for urgent health problems you will be telephoned back before an appointment is given as it may not be necessary.

How Do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?

Home visits are available for the housebound. In most cases, such as 'hot children', the patient can be safely taken to the surgery where all the facilities for proper examinations and tests are available. The doctor can see more patients quick if they come to the surgery.
If a home visit is absolutely necessary, please request the visit before 10.00am if possible.

How Do I...
Obtain Test Results?

Please telephone for results after 2.00pm in the afternoon.

How Do I...
Obtain A Repeat Prescription?

Repeat prescriptions can be obtained online or by leaving the repeat prescription slip in the box by reception. Please try to allow two working days before collection from the receptionist. Most of the local pharmacies run a collection service for repeat prescriptions, but they require four working days; please ask at the local chemists for details.

How Do I...
Make A Comment/Complaint?

There is an established complaints procedure. Please put any concerns in writing, address to the practice manager.

How Do I...
Register?

To register with the practice you need to come to the surgery in person, bringing your NHS card with you. If you do not have this you need to download (Click here) and complete a registration form. We require some form of ID plus proof of residency (eg recent utility bill). If you are registering a child, they should also come with you to the surgery. You will be registered with the duty doctor at the time but you will be free to request an appointment with the doctor of your choice when making an appointment.

Remeber to let us know, in writing, of any subsequent changes to your personal details.
